12 week climbing routes training plan

12 weeks to crush your climbing goals!

  • Are you looking for some training structure at the climbing wall?

  • Or perhaps you want a boost to get you peaking for your trip, project or the outdoor climbing season?

  • Do you struggle to find regular climbing partners and are unsure how to train on your own?

I can help you!

I’ve designed an online, self paced…

launching January 2025

This plan is unique because it includes the physical training exercises (your strength, endurance and power endurance) for your routes aims, but also exercises to work on your technique, tactics and the mental aspects of your climbing. It’s perfect, if you’re busy and want to be sure to fit everything into your two climbing sessions a week.

12 weeks is a meaningful training period for anyone - I don’t want to promise a quick fix (like ‘get strong in a month’ - it’s not really the way it works). I want you to see a proper difference in your climbing.

After working with hundreds of people, for most, the general principles of how to train for routes remain similar. What changes is the amount of time you have each week, the facilities you can access, whether you’re training alone or with others, and your goals. Let’s get going…

Goal setting

Many people struggle with goal setting – it’s important and I want to help you here.  The more specific you can be about your climbing goals, the clearer you can be on the types of moves, techniques and holds you need to work on.  The plan includes question prompts to help you think about your own climbing, your goals, where you are now and how to record your progress.

It’s not just about the physical training…

I’m pretty sure you know that. It’s also about technique, tactical & mental aspects that are so vital to route climbing.  I wanted to create a plan, which means you’ll know how and when to work on these aspects alongside the physical training so you can hit the ground running at the end of your plan.
