Love to Climb coaching holidays are back! And what better destination to make a comeback with: Margalef in Catalunya Spain. I’ve had 4 trips to Margalef myself and I know it’s the real Spain; a beautiful small village tucked away in delightful countryside away from it all. On this coaching holiday you'll work on both your onsighting and redpointing skills. By tackling both of these you'll learn how to read the rock, discover subtle technique improvements and find the flow and pace you need to climb confidently and efficiently. Gaining the confidence to climb your best comes from many places: the best possible climbing environment and atmosphere, helpful route preparation, the right mental state before you set off and also being comfortable falling and trusting your belayer is crucial so we make sure to cover dynamic belaying too.

Love to Climb coaching holidays provide the highest quality of coaching with fully qualified, insured and certified coaches. This trip will be run and coached by myself, Katherine. The experience will be both professional and a lot of fun. There will be no more than 6 clients and because there will be one coach you'll have consistent attention from one pair of eyes.
Heather climbing a lovely 6 on a new sector at Espadelles
Aside from the climbing Love to Climb holidays offer so much more. Having run trips such as these to Turkey, Kalymnos, Sardinia, Spain and France in the past, my philosophy is that creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere is fundamental to anyone climbing at their best. What we do away from the crag is just as important, whether that’s a cultural visit, wine tasting or a relaxing walk, I hope these moments will be as memorable as clipping the chains on an amazing route. I hope too that you’ll make some long lasting friendships.
Ruth and Greg charging up on sun before a day at the crag!!
Mac, our local expert who runs Casa Catalunya, where we'll be staying, knows the climbing inside out and will be there to guide us in selecting the perfect crags, many of which aren’t commonly frequented by visiting climbers. The rock is conglomerate and is famous for it's pockets. Overall the holds are positive, it's mostly face climbing but very technical as you have to remember which pockets to put your feet in! You can read more about the climbing here>>

"I came back from this trip feeling like I'd had a proper mental holiday from everything else and enjoyed being totally engrossed in the climbing and being around people ho are as equally enthusiastic if not more. Overall I'm totally recharged now for the next year's training and future climbing trips" Kathryn Turkey coaching holiday 2009
"Organisation second to none typifies the holiday" Colin Turkey coaching holiday 2008
"Overall it was a fantastic trip, a great area and a good group of people. I had a great time and learnt a lot about my own climbing. I feel I now know what I need to start climbing harder, whereas before the plan was pretty much to turn up at the wall more often and stay longer!" Misha, Turkey coaching holiday 2009
"In general, it is amazing that at every point I felt a bit uncomfortable in my climbing, one of you were there, paying attention and shouting something to encourage me. To me, it seems that everyboday else had the same feeling, which is impressive" Wiebke, Turkey coaching holiday 2008
